Privacy Policy

HANS Society Foundation · Updated 4 October 2026 · Contact: support@joinhans.io

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how HANS Society Foundation ("HANS Society", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites and applications at joinhans.io and its subdomains, including whitepaper.joinhans.io and earn.joinhans.io (together, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to this Policy.

2. Information we collect

3. X (Twitter) account data

If you connect an X account, we receive and store your X user ID and username (handle), and we store the OAuth tokens you authorize, encrypted at rest. We use this data solely to (a) bind your X account to your wallet for bounty eligibility, and (b) verify bounty actions with X — for example whether your account follows a specified account, or whether a post you submit was authored by your account and meets the bounty rules. You can revoke our access at any time in your X settings (Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions).

4. Google user data

If you choose to link Google, HANS receives your Google account identifier, verified email address and basic profile information supplied by Google. We use this to link your identity across HANS and IRIS, help you access your existing IRIS account, and prevent duplicate Earn rewards. IRIS receives the linked identifier and email for these purposes. We do not request your Gmail messages, Drive files or contacts. Google linking is optional for HANS login; IRIS Earn requires a verified linked Google account. You can unlink Google in your HANS profile and revoke access in your Google account. Retained reward records still prevent duplicate claims after unlinking.

5. How we use information

6. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that host and operate the Services on our behalf (such as web hosting and database providers), with the third-party platforms you explicitly connect (X, Google — governed by their own privacy policies), on public blockchains as an inherent part of on-chain transactions, and where required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Connected apps. "Continue with HANS" shares your HANS identity with the selected app. Luma and IRIS receive your username, Hansian, linked X handle, profile wallets and reward information. Luma also receives your X account identifier and stored wallet-link proofs to connect your trading account, eligibility and existing records. IRIS receives your linked Google identifier and email to connect and recover your IRIS account. Superseed receives your username, Hansian, X handle and the single wallet you choose to share, after the consent shown in the HANS window. Apps never receive your private wallet keys or social passwords. A supported first-party app can help you choose an initial username; subsequent changes and account-linking actions happen through HANS. You can log out of an app under Connected apps, log out of all apps on this device, or log out everywhere. Connecting a wallet for transactions and logging in to a HANS profile are separate actions.

7. Data retention and deletion

Profile and social-binding data is retained while your account is active. Bounty-claim records are retained for the integrity of the reward program (preventing duplicate claims) even if a social account is later unlinked or re-linked. To request deletion of your data, contact support@joinhans.io from a verifiable channel; we will delete stored personal data not strictly required for fraud prevention or legal compliance. On-chain data cannot be deleted by anyone.

8. Cookies

HANS uses necessary cookies on earn.joinhans.io for your login, a random browser identifier, and short-lived login and account-linking flows. Connected apps set their own secure, HTTP-only cookies for their HANS grant and app session; they do not receive the HANS-site cookies. HANS login normally lasts up to 30 days without a visit, with a 90-day maximum before a new login. Logout and revoked access can end it sooner. These cookies support authentication and security, not advertising or cross-site tracking.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), encryption at rest for stored OAuth tokens, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Services at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for the security of your wallet and keys.

10. International users

HANS Society Foundation operates internationally and your data may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own. By using the Services you consent to that processing.

11. Children

The Services are not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest version; material changes will be announced on the Services.
